My name is Donna Morgan, and I’m a counsellor with over 26 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. Why I Chose Counselling

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to understanding emotions and helping others find joy, fulfillment, and peace. Growing up, my mother’s health challenges and eventual loss profoundly shaped my empathy and understanding of life’s complexities. Witnessing both her vulnerability and strength taught me the importance of having compassionate support during difficult times.

As a mother of grown children, I’ve faced life’s ups and downs, and these experiences have only deepened my passion for empowering others. Life is unpredictable, but with the right tools and guidance, we can navigate even the most challenging moments.

My Specialisations – Supporting Women and Teenagers

Empowering Women Through Menopause

A significant focus of my work is supporting women’s health, particularly during menopause. My main focus is menopause counselling. Menopause is a transformative life stage that often comes with emotional and physical challenges, such as anxiety, mood swings, and stress.

I’ve trained with the British Menopause Society to develop a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) programme specifically designed to support women through this phase. My programme offers practical, research-backed strategies to manage symptoms, reduce their impact, and regain a sense of balance.

Menopause is not an ending—it’s a beginning. With the right support, it can be a time of growth, resilience, and empowerment.

Helping Teenagers Manage Stress and Anxiety

Adolescence is a time of change and pressure, and many teenagers struggle with exam stress, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. Recognising the signs—such as physical symptoms, perfectionism, or changes in behaviour—can make a significant difference.

Through counselling, I help teenagers and their families:

  • Develop effective coping strategies
  • Build resilience and confidence
  • Navigate the challenges of academic and social pressures
